Introducing my New Podcast: Hold Up, Let Me Explain...
Hello, hello my friends! I know it has been way too long since you’ve seen any movement on my website, but I am here to report back with exciting news! If you couldn’t already tell, I created a podcast! It is the most exciting project I’ve ever done. Being able to connect with my audience in a more convenient way without overthinking the words I type has been a very liberating feeling. As much as I loved writing, there were times where I overthought every word and every sentence. I wanted you to read my articles and hear my voice in a personal and engaging way, but in order to do that I had to be very selective with my word choice and comma placement. I know, it shouldn’t be a science, but because I cared so much, it did feel that way.
I decided to reflect and take a break from writing and find an alternative creative outlet. That’s when podcasting “light bulbed” into my head. I wanted to create a safe space for me and my listeners to connect and talk about things that I never truly had the confidence to talk about. Like how I am insecure about my face, or how I’m almost 30 without a college degree, and how I dated a guy who slashed two of my tires! Of course my episode titles are hooking and slightly out of context but, Hold Up, Let Me Explain… is the opportunity to give my side of the story without judgement. You can hear my sarcasm, my voice when I second guess certain opinions, and when I genuinely find something hilarious to share.
I know what you’re thinking…well Nicole you could’ve still talked about that through your writing. However with writing, those tones aren’t always delivered. Now that I found a way to connect with you all in a more personal level, I feel ready now to get back into my writing the way I always wanted.
A place where I can share with you like I would with my diary
